OAuth Social Sign-In Setup & Guide

NovelHub supports signing in with Google, Discord, and Twitter/X in addition to email and password. You can connect multiple providers to the same account. You can review connected providers from settings alongside your other account options in Account Settings.

Discord✅ Supported
Twitter/X✅ Supported

Connecting an account

  1. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
  2. Click Connect next to the provider you want to add
  3. Sign in with that provider when prompted
  4. The account is now linked

After connecting, you can use that provider to sign in alongside your existing methods.

Disconnecting an account

You can disconnect a provider if you no longer want to use it:

  1. Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
  2. Click Disconnect next to the provider

Important: You must always have at least one sign-in method. If you only have one OAuth provider connected and no password set, you cannot disconnect it until you set a password or connect another provider. If you need to add or change a password-based sign-in method, use Account Settings.

Signing in with OAuth

On the sign-in page, click the provider button (Google, Discord, or Twitter/X) instead of entering email and password. If the provider is linked to your account, you're signed in immediately.

What data is shared

When you connect a provider, NovelHub receives:

  • Google: Email address, display name, profile picture
  • Discord: Email address, username, avatar
  • Twitter/X: Email address, display name, profile picture

NovelHub does not post to your accounts, access your contacts, or request any permissions beyond basic profile information.

Troubleshooting

"Account already linked to another user"

The Google or Discord account is already connected to a different NovelHub account. Each provider account can only link to one NovelHub account.

Can't disconnect provider

You need at least one sign-in method. Set a password first (Settings → Password), then disconnect the provider. Review Sessions & Security as well if you want to clean up old device access after changing login methods.
