This refund policy applies to all subscriptions and credit purchases made on NovelHub Translate.

Subscription Refunds

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a full refund for monthly subscriptions within 7 days of purchase if:

  1. You haven't used the service — No translations generated during the refund period
  2. Technical issues — The service didn't work as described due to bugs on our end
  3. First-time subscribers — This is your first subscription to NovelHub Translate

How to Request a Refund

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription
  2. Click Manage to access the Stripe customer portal
  3. Or email us at: support@novelhub.io

Please include:

  • Your account email
  • Reason for refund request
  • Date of purchase

Refund Processing

  • Method: Refunds are processed back to the original payment method
  • Timeline: 5-10 business days (depends on your bank)
  • Confirmation: You'll receive an email confirmation once processed

Credit Pack Refunds

Credit Packs are refundable if:

  • The credits have not been used
  • Request is made within 7 days of purchase
  • This applies to first-time credit pack purchases per user

Non-refundable:

  • Partially used credit packs
  • Credit packs purchased after the first one
  • Promotional or discounted credit packs

Cancellation Policy

How Cancellation Works

  1. Cancel anytime — No contracts, no cancellation fees
  2. Access until end of period — You keep access until the end of your current billing period
  3. No prorated refunds — We don't offer partial refunds for unused time

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You can still use all features during this time
  • After the period ends, your account reverts to Free tier
  • Your data (novels, translations, bookmarks) is preserved for 90 days

How to Cancel

  1. Go to SettingsSubscription
  2. Click ManageCancel Subscription
  3. Confirm cancellation

Or via Stripe customer portal at any time.

Downgrade Policy

When you downgrade to a lower-tier plan:

  • The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You continue to enjoy current plan benefits until then
  • No refunds for price differences

Non-Refundable Situations

We cannot offer refunds in these cases:

  • Usage-based: You've used translation credits during the refund period
  • Change of mind: After the 7-day window (but you can still cancel)
  • Violation: Account terminated for Terms of Service violations
  • Promotional: Purchases made during special promotions or with discount codes
  • Renewals: Automatic renewal charges (you can cancel before renewal)

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is unauthorized or incorrect:

  1. Contact us first — Email support@novelhub.io before initiating a chargeback
  2. We can often resolve issues faster than the chargeback process
  3. Chargebacks initiated without contacting us may result in immediate account suspension

Technical Issues

If you experience technical problems that prevent you from using the service:

  1. Contact support@novelhub.io with details
  2. We'll attempt to resolve the issue
  3. If we cannot fix it within 48 hours, you're eligible for a full refund regardless of usage
